'The Legend of Cocaine Island' Searches for a $2M USD Stash of Cocaine Hidden in the Caribbean
Is the urban legend real?
With its unprecedented lineup of original content, streaming giant Netflix is ready to unleash its latest project onto the world, a documentary which sees one man setting out to search for the legendary $2 million USD stash of cocaine that has been buried in the Caribbean.
The Legend of Cocaine Island will center around Rodney Hyden, a businessman from South Florida, who sets out to find the treasure after he loses all his money during the recession. “With the help of a colorful group of misfits — and without prior drug-running experience — Rodney sets out in pursuit of his very own American dream, with surprising results” an official synopsis from Netflix reads.
Directed by Theo Love, The Legend of Cocaine Island made its premiere during last year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will drop on Netflix March 29.
