The Chemical Brothers Recruit an F1-Driving Canine for "We've Got To Try" Visual
Alongside a 15,000 BPM remix to celebrate a new partnership with Formula 1.
Last month, The Chemical Brothers announced a new album titled No Geography, following up 2015’s Born in the Echoes. Now the infamous electronic duo hailing from Manchester has returned with a brand new revved-up track and accompanying visual for “We’ve Got To Try.”
The new music video is aimed at celebrating the group’s recent partnership with Formula 1, who has chosen the hard-hitting track as the official soundtrack for the upcoming F1 2019 season. Following suit, the fitting video for the percussively-heavy and skittering-synth cut follows a rescued canine named Girl as she rises from a humble street mutt to a world-renown F1 driver, eventually being enlisted in a space program that sees her adventuring to Dog Planet.
Alongside the newly released visual comes the world’s fastest remix to commemorate the artists’ latest partnership, titled “WGTT15000BPM F1 NEEEUM Mix.” Re-engineered and sonically accelerated to the depths of the space-time continuum, the remix of the new track is sped up to 15,000 beats per minute (BPM) — mimicking the 15,000 revs per minute (RPM) that many of today’s F1 cars reach while racing. Clocking in at just three-seconds, it “approximates the iconic sound of an F1 car roaring by.”
You can check out the music video for “We’ve Got To Try” above as well as listen to the new record-breaking remix of the track below. The Chemical Brothers’ No Geography will release on April 12.
