Taking a year off between seasons, Netflix announced Spike Lee’s film turned TV series She’s Gotta Have It will return for a second season. The show features street artist Nola Darling (DeWanda Wise) struggling with her newfound success and if she’s able to keep her morals as a creative on her way to mainstream stardom.
It will also showcase the dynamics of Nola’s relationships and how her former flame’s lives have changed as a result of her self-discovering journey. As a result, we check in with characters like Mars Blackmon (Anthony Ramos), who sets out to pursue his true passion of music, the self-involved Greer Childs (Cleo Anthony), and Jamie Overstreet (Lyriq Bent) handling the fallout of his infidelity.
Check the announcement above and tune into all nine episodes of She’s Gotta Have It on May 24.
In other entertainment news, Idris Elba has been tapped to play Deadshot in Suicide Squad 2.
