IKEA Gives a Closer Look at Upcoming Sonos Collaboration
The SYMFONISK is set to release later this year.
After announcing the partnership in late 2017 and first teasing the SYMFONISK speaker back in June 2018, IKEA has now given another look at its upcoming Sonos collaboration. Set to be officially revealed in April this year, the speaker blends Sonos’ tech expertise with IKEA’s understated aesthetic cues, with a sleek, black fabric-covered design.
Due to this design, IKEA has suggested that the SYMFONISK could even be used as a wall-mounted shelf, although the Swedish furniture label is yet to announce any official specifications for the speaker system. There are rumors, however, that it will feature Wi-Fi compatibility, as well as smart speaker functions giving control of switches, lights and dimmers.
Take a look at the speaker in the gallery above, and expect it to get an official unveiling in Milan between April 9 and April 14. The SYMFONISK will then start shipping in August this year.
