Grimes Shares Video for New Demo “Pretty Dark”
She dropped a song from her “AR musical.”
Grimes shared a demo for a new song titled “Pretty Dark.” The record, which was accompanied by a music video, is “not a single” and won’t be on her upcoming album. “This is from an AR musical I’m working on,” she wrote. She added, “[I] made the song and video yesterday so obvs majorly rough, but while I’m finishing my album I’m just gonna start casually dropping stuff as I see fit. Been doing this exercise where I try to write and produce a whole song in like ~1-2 hrs… f*ck technical proficiency and whatnot.”
Her last single was “We Appreciate Power” featuring HANA. Grimes’ previous LP was 2015’s Art Angels. Last summer, Grimes also appeared on Jimmy Urine’s new track, “The Medicine Does Not Control Me.”
