Replacing the 488 GTB.
UPDATE: Ferrari has released a new video of the F8 Tributo. Complete with the soundtrack of a roaring engine, Ferrari captures the vehicle on idyllic mountain roads in a number of sweeping shots, before it heads to the track. Watch the video below.
Original article – March 1, 2019: Ferrari has just given a full look at its new mid-engine V8 flagship supercar. The Gran Tourismo Berlinetta (488 GTB) replacement is a bridge to Ferrari’s new “new design language” with more sweeping lines that tie in the original 308 GTB to the iconic Ferrari F40 — seen in the louvered Lexan engine cover.
The restyling of the body improves the aerodynamic efficiency of the supercar by 10 percent, and when combined with a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine; an engine that produces similar numbers to the 488 Pista (720 horsepower / 568 lb-ft), the F8 Tributo Supercar can sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in 2.9 seconds. The top speed of the F8 Tributo is 211 mph (340 kph).
Those fortunate enough to be attending the 2019 Geneva Motor Show on March 5 will be able to see the Ferrari F8 Tributo on display. In other automotive news, Honda readies its electric “E Prototype” for the urban world.
