Acne Studios Spotlights Surfer & Artist Robin Kegel in T-Shirt Capsule Collection
Featuring images from his personal collection.

Acne Studios taps the surf star and artist Robin Kegel once again for a Spring/Summer 2019 T-shirt capsule collection, this time around delivering psychedelic tie-dye looks alongside retro screen printed photographs.
Taking images from Kegel’s personal collection, the capsule collection celebrates the geometric patterns, colours and abstract forms that the surfing artist has become renowned for. The collection is comprised of four T-shirts, each depicting a different surfing reference as captured by Kegel.
A large image of Kegel painting a surfboard is seen on one white t-shirt and two images of surfboards are overlapped on a desaturated red and pink tie-dye t-shirt. The two tie-dye theme shows Acne Studios referencing surfing culture in another way. One sees Kegel ride a surfboard on a yellow and blue tie-dye offering, and the other sees petrol blue and navy mix to set off a photo of abstract artwork panels.
Launching the collection, Robin Kegel said that “the featured images on the t-shirts document the abstractions and signature geometric prints I created for Acne Studios, showcasing the surfboard factory during that time. They convey the experience the psychedelic dyes and factory, explore the infatuation and represent the collaboration’s raw form and organic industrial projection.”
The Acne Studios x Robin Kegel T-shirt capsule collection will release on April 18 at select Acne Studio stores worldwide and online.
