ASAP Rocky & Tyler, The Creator Take the Stage During III Points Festival
Continuing their ongoing bromance.
Frequent collaborators and bromancers ASAP Rocky and Tyler, The Creator gave fans a treat over the weekend as the pair lit up the stage during III Points Festival.
Taking place down in Miami, Tyler surprised fans by bringing ASAP Rocky onto the stage during his set. Together they performed a special take of their collaborative track “Telephone Calls” taken off of Cozy Tapes Vol. 2. In the video posted above, Tyler slowly makes his way to the center of the stage as the first beats of the track can be heard. As the track begins to pick up, ASAP Rocky can be seen jumping in from right side of the stage to the audience’s delight. The pair then continue to energetically dance around the stage as fans sing along. As the set finishes, Tyler humorously tells the crowd, “that sh*t was terrible. Do not upload that sh*t tonight.”
In summer of 2018, the pair announced their upcoming joint project WANG$AP with the release of a new AWGE DVD and freestyle, “Potato Salad.” However it looks like the aforementioned project may never see the light of day considering their recent spat last month. “I don’t even want to speak on it because I don’t even know him,” Rocky said during an interview with Los Angeles’ Power 106. “I don’t like him. F Tyler. If I see that dude I might just punch him in the face. Straight up. I want all the smoke.”
Shortly after Tyler replied on Twitter with, “I wish Rocky would shut the fuck up and stop always saying what he’s working on 40 years before it’s even a fleshed out idea,” he said. “With that said, again, don’t get your hopes up and be ‘disappointed’ because something that doesn’t really exist didn’t come out. That shit don’t exist y’all.”
It’s unclear whether or not we can expect a project from the duo, however keep it locked here for more details should it happen.
