Update: More details about Tekashi 6ix9ine’s case have been revealed. TMZ obtained the transcripts from his plea hearing from last week and the Brooklyn rapper opens up about his criminal activities. It was originally thought that he plead to eight criminal counts but it’s actually nine.

6ix9ine says that he joined the Nine Trey Bloods in the fall of 2017. In court, he also says a few months later he helped members of the gang attempt to kill a rival to “increase my own standing in Nine Trey” and robbed another rival at gunpoint.

He also spoke about the Chief Keef shooting and gave up the trigger man while explaining what happened. “I paid a person to shoot at a rival member of Nine Trey to scare him,” he says in court. “The shooting took place in Manhattan. I did this to maintain or increase my own standing in Nine Trey.”

For his drug trafficking charge, Tekashi admitted to selling a kilo of heroin in 2017. He indeed struck a plea deal and is cooperating with federal officers, which should reduce his sentencing significantly. As of right now, the minimum sentence is 47 years, however, that should begin to decrease the more helpful Tekashi is.

Original Story: Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, has reportedly pleaded guilty today (Feb. 1) to eight counts in the criminal case against him, TMZ reports. He reached a deal and pled guilty to multiple counts of racketeering, conspiracy, firearms offenses plus narcotics trafficking. His sentencing is scheduled for January 24, 2020.

The Daily Beast reports that the Brooklyn rapper pled guilty last Saturday however, the records were only made public until this morning. This comes two months after he was arrested by federal agents and hit with several federal racketeering and firearms charges. He was also accused of being a part of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, a gang that was accused of selling narcotics and engaging in “brazen acts of violence,” according to a statement from Manhattan U.S.

Last night, Page Six reported that Tekashi may have cut a deal with the Feds when yesterday it was discovered that the 22-year-old hip-hop artist’s name was not named as a defendant in the updated indictment in connection with the attempted murder of rival rapper Chief Keef. Neither the US attorney’s office nor 6ix9ine’s new lawyer, Dawn Florio, would give a statement if Hernandez had flipped on his previous co-defendants. 6ix9ine fired his previous lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, because the attorney withheld information that he previously represented two of Tekashi’s fellow Nine Trey Gangsta Blood co-defendants.

McKenzie, aka “Kooda B,” and Tekashi’s former manager Kifano Jordan, aka “Shottie,” were charged for allegedly shooting at Chief Keef, in Midtown in June. HYPEBEAST will update as more details of this case becomes public.
