Stone Island Continues to Innovate With Shadow Project SS19 Collection
Featuring high-tech fabrics and new patterns.

Italian label Stone Island has returned to its innovative and experimental Shadow Project. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection from the line sees Stone Island continue to explore new fabrications and textiles, as well as reference previous concepts from earlier seasons.
Spring/Summer 2019 — or collection 7019 — features a continuation of the Articulation Tunnels and Articulation Zippers, which come in new spiral and curved versions. Other innovations include the removable Encase Panel — for storage and coverage — and the new stowable Split Hood.
A key feature of the collection is all-over graphic patterns, which are added to three specially-developed fabrics. The DPM CHINÉ is constructed from woven rip-stop and bares a new Shadow Project camouflage, the IMPRINT NYLON is influenced by the contrast of surface and tension and, finally, the LENTICULAR JACQUARD uses perception to create a visually shifting textile.
As well as the textiles and materials used in apparel, the Spring/Summer 2019 collection also features a range of footwear. This season’s footwear is constructed. From perforated suede and rich leather, and is finished with signature Shadow Project graphics.
