maharishi Goes Graphic With "Shattered Miltype" Collection
Cubist-inspired imagery emblazoned on militaristic layers.

Distinct from the brand’s proper Spring/Summer 2019 collection, maharishi is prepping to launch a brief array of graphic layering pieces. Each piece emblazoned with unique imagery, sourced from the British brand’s reinterpretation of military codes.
Dubbed “Shattered Miltype,” the range centers around the aforementioned military codes and specifications given to equipment and clothing, which have been abstracted into a splashy, deconstructed print. Olive drab and black Flight Nylon Utility Vests sport the image, alongside a Shooter Shirt and several panel caps. while Waffle Knit Crew Sweats offer a form of cubist camouflage. This isn’t an accident — cubism and painters like Picasso and Mondrian actually influenced the development of modern military camouflage, thus granting the “Shattered Miltype” goods an extra layer of meaning.
The collection arrives exclusively at maharishi’s web store and physical outposts on March 1. Take a closer look at the individual pieces below.
