After dropping off a “Clear Brown” colorway of its UltraBOOST 19 silhouette, adidas is back with another minimal statement for its UltraBOOST S&L sneaker. The footwear features upgraded materials and a neutral gray and black palette for a streamlined aesthetic.
The performance shoe gets updated with suede and leather fabrications on the latest edition. Whereas the midfoot cage typically comes in plastic, it’s been swapped out this go-round with a dual-tone leather version. Meanwhile, the usually plastic heel clip also gets an elevated makeover by way of a suede mudguard, which is also utilized around the toe of the shoe. The black Primeknit upper is broken up with a new taped design on the toe box, featured in light gray. A white crackled Boost midsole rounds out the style.
Women haven’t been forgotten in the UltraBOOST S&L conversation, however. According to Sneaker Bar Detroit, adidas is also launching an exclusive women’s colorway in mint and shades of gray. This version will also feature the suede overlay details, while the colorful Three Stripes on the upper add a bright element.
Both styles retail for $180 USD and are expected to release on March 1 at select retailers and on adidas’ website.
In other footwear news, adidas’ Matchcourt Hi sneaker recently got a Beavis and Butt-Head-themed remake.
