Nike React Sertu "Iron Grey" Combines Stark and Vibrant Tones
Equal parts subtle and striking.

Nike Sportswear‘s React Sertu is amping its hybrid look up another notch with an “Iron Grey” colorway that combines tones both stark and vibrant. Debuted as part of “The 10th” collection -— a tribute to Nike cofounder Bill Bowerman‘s military service during WWII —- the React Sertu seemingly draws from the Footscape Woven and the React Element 55 in equal measures for its look.
The Sertu’s overall shape is low-slung in its construction but rich in detail. Both the lateral and medial midfoot are constructed of a woven fabric, running the gamut of the color wheel with hues ranging from rich purples to sky blues and bright yellows. This is then immediately surrounded by the “Iron Grey” accents that give the shoe its name. However, even the steely shade isn’t uniform — its many panels offer alternate materials, ranging from leathers both smooth and perforated to soft, shaggy suede.
An abstract-shaped wolf grey plastic heel cage aids with lockdown, and branding is kept to a minimum. In particular, nothing more is presented than a small woven Swoosh on the forefoot and a “The 10th” fabric tag on the midfoot. Last but certainly not least, a cored-out grey React midsole with black plugs completes the look.
This new Sertu is set to release at retailers like Noir Fonce in the coming holiday weeks, with an MSRP is set at $150 USD.
