New Balance OMN1S "City of Angels" Nods to Los Angeles
Matching the Clippers’ City Edition jerseys.

New Balance is set to release Kawhi Leonard‘s signature OMN1S sneaker in a new “City of Angels” colorway. Nodding to Kawhi’s West Coast roots as well as the Los Angeles Clippers‘ Mr. Cartoon-designed City Edition uniforms, the shoe is LA-themed from collar to outsole.
Dressed in a stark white mesh, each upper takes on different accenting colors: the left foot uses blue on the tongue badge and collar flaps with red trim around its “N” logo, while the right foot provides the inverse with red accents and blue logo trim. This alternating style continues on the black midfoot bands — both feature the same Old English font, but the left shoe spells out “Los Angeles” and the right shoe opts for “New Balance.” Although the look is front and center here, the tech is certainly no slouch either. FitWeave support offers lockdown without adding bulk, while a FuelCell system provides the responsive cushioning that’s necessary for Kawhi’s strong, physical style of play.
The sixth of seven OMN1S colorways scheduled to release over the course of 2019, the “City of Angels” will hit NewBalance.com and select stockists on December 12, retailing for $140 USD. Kawhi will then take to the court in a pair for the Clippers’ game against James Harden, Russell Westbrook and the Houston Rockets on December 19. He’ll then sport the makeup for the rest of the Clippers’ City Edition games during the NBA season.
Elsewhere in the world of basketball footwear, the Vince Carter-adjacent Nike Shox BB4 has released in “University Gold.”
