Mercer Amsterdam Taps Vibram for Vegan-Only Sneaker Silhouette
Constructed with breathable and water-absorbing OnSteam material.
Dutch sneaker brand Mercer Amsterdam has released its first vegan-only sneaker in collaboration with Vibram. Designed with a Phylon midsole and sturdy Vibram outsole, the sleek navy blue, orange and gray Racer shoe combines maximum support and grip with unparalleled softness.
Constructed with 100% breathable OnSteam vegan leather, the Racer silhouette is capable of absorbing eight times its own weight in water, while a thermo-regulating ability ensures total dryness in the interior. The leather-like microfiber material has also been produced according to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 class I certificate, which means it is declared eco-friendly and free of agents harmful to health. The sneaker’s laces switch from blue to orange as they wind their way up the shoe’s branded tongue. 3M reflective detailing around the toebox finishes off the look.
Retailing for €240 (approx. $270 USD), the Vibram x Mercer Amsterdam Racer sneaker in Navy/Orange is available to purchase now on Mercer Amsterdam’s website.
