Maison Margiela Dresses Cross Derby & Loafer in "Riace Bronze" & "Dull Grey"
Updating the formal-meets-sneaker silhouettes.
After releasing them in two muted black designs recently, Maison Margiela has returned to its reconstructed Cross Derby and Cross Loafer silhouettes for a pair of more eye-catching colorways. The two shoes fuse elements of formal dress shoes with trainers, as their classic uppers sit atop an oversized, ridged sole unit.
For the Cross Derby silhouette, Maison Margiela has reworked the shoe’s leather upper and rubber sole unit into a “Riace Bronze” colorway. The shoe is then finished with tonal stitching, a tan lining and contrasting white “Maison Margiela” branding on the footbed. The Cross Loafer, on the other hand, features an upper constructed from both leather and polyurethane, while the entire shoe is dressed in a “Dull Grey” color.
