Drake has just revealed a new interview with music news platform Rap Radar to talk about a slew of topics, more so focusing on the superstar’s 2019. In the 2-hour long sit-down, Drake divulges on how he had to adjust balancing life and work in 2019 and revealing that his new Toronto home (where the interview takes place) was just recently completed for him to move into.
The lengthy segment also goes into Drake talking more about his feud with Pusha-T and he does has some not-so-kind words directed towards the G.O.O.D. Music rapper. Drizzy also touches on his differences with Kanye West but claims that Kanye is still one of his favorite artists and was massive in influencing him throughout his career. He does however say that a sit-down with West to discuss their misunderstandings is currently out of the question.
Furthermore, Drake also reminisces on his road to success citing that Lil Wayne’s work ethic was what he studied most while working to become the artist that he is now. He has massive respect for Wayne and what the rapper has done for the culture and the industry. Elsewhere, Drake also speaks on the current state of rap and points to JAY Z and the mogul’s lasting influence on music. Griselda Records crew also gets a mention from the rap star for bringing the “gutter” sound back to hip-hop in which a new crop of music hopefuls can be inspired by.
