Genesis' G90 Introduces a Whole New Level of Luxury for 2020
Available in the U.S. later this month.
Hyundai‘s subsidiary marque Genesis has given an official look at the upcoming 2020 G90, its all-new flagship waving the flag for the luxury Korean car market.
Genesis’ new model carries an aesthetic the manufacturer calls “Athletic Elegance and Horizontal Architecture design themes.” This angular approach sees the G90 receive more than just a facelift for 2020, as the entire front end gets a rehaul thanks to a new hexagonal grille, sharper styling for the LED headlights, and a completely refreshed rear end that now adopts a horizontal LED taillight bar.
Elsewhere, Genesis presents its flagship with a set of premium alloy wheels that reflect the nature of its grille, and give the model an overall streamlined look. Engine options come in the form of a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 providing 365 BHP and an eight-speed, 420 BHP 5.0-liter V8, both of which are sure to provide a smooth power delivery for a wafty, premium ride.
To keep up with the competition, Genesis has updated the interior to new luxurious heights by using quilted Nappa leather, leather-wrapping the dashboard, armrests and everything inbetween, and adding an exposed-grain Natura wood finish. This, paired with the modernized 12.3-inch central touch screen, the inclusion of sound-absorbing materials, an Active Noise Cancellation system and laminated windows, makes for an opulent experience that’s typically exclusive to typically luxurious cars.
