size? Continues "Alternate Pack" with adidas LXCON 94 "Vietnam"
Inspired by Vietnam’s Jungle Marathon.
After launching the “Alternate” collection with a ZX500 “Jordan,” the UK’s size? and adidas have rejoined to present the collaborative pack’s second installment by way of a LXCON 94 “Vietnam.” The “Alternate” footwear is inspired by marathons around the world that may not boast the most mainstream exposure, but have built a cult following due to their uniquely beautiful landscapes. Unsurprisingly, the LXCON ‘94 “Vietnam” draws both its moniker and colors from Vietnam’s Jungle Marathon.
Located in the Pu Luong Nature Reserve, the marathon winds its way through Vietnam’s lush jungles, towering mountains, roaring rivers/waterfalls and rural villages with rice paddy fields. Due to this exceptionally uncommon scenery, size? has equipped the LXCON 94 with a rich green mesh/suede upper, nodding to Pu Long’s vibrant flora and fauna. Pops of bright orange on the tongue, collar and liner add a bold contrast. Meanwhile, the rest of the “Alternate” collection is acknowledged by the black Three Stripe midfoot graphic and yellow plastic tubing, both of which borrow colors from its other silhouettes. A “’90s” hit on the heel tab notes the decade of the LXCON ’94’s original release.
Down below, a classic black adiPRENE midsole and black rubber outsole provide cushioning and stability. The shoe is completed by a vector illustration on the orange insole, showcasing all the striking sights that any Jungle Marathon participant will see on their run.
The size? x adidas LXCON 94 “Vietnam” will release on the size? webstore and at select size? retail locations on November 15. The MSRP is set at £100 GPB (approximately $128 USD).
