Oregon-based boot company Danner is expanding its Fall/Winter 2019 offerings with four new models added to its Portland Select collection, all handcrafted in the company’s Portland factory.
Two new Danner Light models join the roster in celebration of the silhouette’s 40th anniversary, marking a historic milestone for the first GORE-TEX boot created by the brand. The Danner Light 40th Anniversary comes dressed in a tonal brown leather and nylon upper with a black leather toe wrap, heel counter and sturdy Vibram Kletterlift outsole, whilst the Danner Light Revival harkens back to the original design by swapping out the nylon panels with a lighter shade of tan and keeping the brown leather trimmings constant throughout the silhouette.
In addition to the Danner Lights, joining the Portland Select collection are two new S’mores models, utilizing a “chocolate-colored leather with pops of evergreen.” Both models are lined with GORE-TEX, with the Danner Ridge S’mores design largely resembling the Lights whilst the full-bodied Mountain Pass S’mores provide a more robust look. Available in both men’s and women’s sizes, Danner says the S’mores range were created “to be lighter weight, more versatile hiking boots with classic Danner style.”
