teamLab Borderless to Bring 'Forest of Resonating Lamps' to New Shanghai Space
Along with never-before-seen works.
After sharing its plans to open an immersive art museum inside The Venetian Macao, teamLab has announced it will open a new museum in Huangpu District, Shanghai next month. teamLab Borderless Shanghai will include approximately 50 teamLab artworks in its new space, featuring never-before-seen works as well as some of its most popular interactive ones.
Earlier this year, teamLab showcased its multi-sensory Forest of Resonating Lamps in Kyoto, coinciding with the blooming cherry blossom trees. The art collective is now bringing this immersive experience to the new museum in Shanghai. Featuring the largest Forest of Resonating Lamps to date, the space will also showcase interactive digital installations from three more of teamLab’s worlds: the Borderless world, Microcosmoses and En Tea House.
teamLab Borderless Shanghai will open on November 5. Take a look at the video above to get a glimpse of what to expect from the new space and head over to teamLab’s website for more information.
