Packer Reps New Jersey With adidas Consortium ZX 9000 "Meadow Violet"
Inspired by the state’s flower.
For its latest collaboration, Packer Shoes is teaming up again with adidas Consortium for a ZX 9000 that’s inspired by New Jersey, the location that the former has called home since 2003. Marking the first drop in a series of two, the upcoming release has been designed around the state’s official flower and is aptly titled “Meadow Violet.”
The sneaker is crafted of suede and mesh along the upper and grounded in earthy shades like sand and stone grey. Swatches of dark purple are used for the logo, tongue patch and pull tab to bring in direct references to the violet. In keeping with the theme of New Jersey’s nickname, Garden State, a forest green hue is featured on the caged heel design and the midsole. A colorful, floral-printed insole continues the natural aesthetic, while a black outsole rounds it all off.
Packer and adidas Consortium’s ZX 9000 “Meadow Violet” is priced at $140 USD and slated to release on October 8 at 12 p.m. EST in-store and at Packer’s website.
Elsewhere, adidas Consortium was also inspired by horticulture for its “Gardening Club” collection that was recently unveiled.
