In his life and work, multifaceted musician Masego doesn’t go by a script. Hailing from Norfolk, Virginia, the genre-bending artist has carved his own path by teaching himself saxophone, piano, vocals and production. Despite having enough self-actualized talent to perform solo, Masego’s band amplifies his “TrapHouseJazz” sound to new heights while on stage. “When I’m by myself and doing the one man band thing, it’s amazing. It’s a whole energy, a whole world,” he says. “But with my band on stage, it’s a lot greater, a lot larger.”
