Jil Sander's Lucie & Luke Meier Announced as Pitti Uomo FW20 Guest Designers

Pitti Uomo has announced its first guest designer for the Fall/Winter 2020 season, with Lucie and Luke Meier of Jil Sander taking the reigns. The husband-and-wife pair have been at the Milan-based house since early 2017, and will present their new Jil Sander menswear collection at a special event.
In a statement announcing the news, the co-creative directors described it as “both an honor and a completion. We first met in Florence, and never imagined that we would be back here together showing at Pitti Uomo. This opportunity is a truly special one,and we look forward to contributing to the legacy of this city and Pitti Uomo.
Similarly, Pitti Immagine’s director of communications and events Lapo Cianchi paid tribute to the Meiers’ “precise vision of fashion, where there is clearly a constant search for equilibrium between the respect for minimalist codes – which made the history of the brand – and the desire to incite emotion, combined with great attention to details.”
