Following the release of his Donna Ave EP earlier this year, rising R&B artist Mack Keane has returned with Aquanetta Dr – Pt. 2, which completes the entire Aquanetta Dr EP. The first half of the EP, which includes the songs “Often” and “Highlife,” shows an introspective side of the Los Angeles-based artist and producer, delving into topics on mental health and the negative aspects of fame.
For the second half of Aquanetta DR, Keane emphasizes the importance of self-growth before seriously committing yourself to a significant other. With the songs “Take Some Time” and “Take Some Time Pt. 2,” Keane’s smooth and sultry vocals mix with his upbeat rapping verses, creating an assortment of vocal styles and instrumentals. While the artist notes that the first half of the EP was inspired by Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder records, the second installment allowed him to create his own soul beat.

Elsewhere, South London-based producer Vegyn shared lo-fi visuals for the track “It’s Nice to Be Alive.”
