GoPro Unveils New Dual-Lens 5.6K Resolution Max Action Cam
Equipped with six mics for 360-degree audio.
Aside from a new Hero8 Black, action camera maker GoPro has just revealed the new dual-lens GoPro Max, based on its predecessor, the Fusion. Thanks to two lenses facing either direction as well as a front-facing touchscreen, the company claims that the Max can serve as three cameras in one: a single-lens HERO camera, a dual-lens 360-degree camera, and a perfect vlogging camera. Equipped with six mics for a complete 360-degree audio experience and four different digital lenses for more framing options, the camera can shoot up to 5.6K/30p resolutions, and is water resistant up to 5 meters.
Aside from hardware, GoPro has also kitted out the Max with a range of high-performing software upgrades. Most impressive is the Max HyperSmooth function, which provides “unbreakable stabilization” when shooting at 180 degrees, with in-camera horizon leveling as well. The Max TimeWarp function can automatically adjust your video speed based on lighting, scene detection and motion, whilst the Max SuperView function will give you an extremely wide angle to play with.
The company is now taking preorders for its new GoPro Max, with a price tag of $500 USD. Head over to its website to learn more or place your order now.
