Gangsta Boo & Nocturnal Sunshine Reconnect for New Single "Ridin' Solo"

Maya Jane Coles is planning on releasing a new Nocturnal Sunshine album this Friday, November 1. Known as Full Circle, the project was first introduced with the Young M.A.- and Gangsta Boo-assisted “Pull Up.” Now, the acclaimed producer-DJ is serving up another new single with Gangsta Boo to support the album, “Ridin’ Solo.”

“‘Ridin’ Solo’ is just a track about being headstrong and keeping yourself to yourself, keeping away from fakes, not relying on others,” Nocturnal Sunshine architect Maya Jane Coles tells us, breaking down her new record with Gangsta Boo. “I had this really moody instrumental which I wanted Gangsta Boo to write on. She actually turned the track in around 24 hours from when I sent it to her and did the sickest job. A lot of my favourite tracks are the ones that happen the quickest. This whole album – Full Circle came together during a time where I was doing a genuine full circle with a lot of the music I was working on. My production roots are mainly hip hop, so this album showcases some of that side of me. I haven’t fully gone back there, this still crosses over a lot of the electronic stuff. But it’s definitely bridging the gap between two very different sides of me.”
