HOKA ONE ONE‘s hefty footwear has made the leap from functional favorite to an in-the-know fashion essential, with labels like Opening Ceremony and Engineered Garments issuing their own takes on the brand’s meaty running sneakers. One cult classic model, the TOR ULTRA HI, was recently teased in an all-black iteration ideal for cold weather styling — now the shoe brand has prepared a duo of earthy colorways to complement the more muted iteration.
As usual for the ULTRA series shoes, HOKA ONE ONE’s latest sneakerboots feature a weights Vibram Mega Grip outsole layered beneath a soft EVA midsole guaranteed to provide all-day comfort. Up above, the tall leather and nylon upper sports lacing from the toe to the top of the ankle for maximum foot security, complete with faded “HOKA” branding for a worn-in effect. eVent lining allows for extra breathability and reliable waterproofing, ensuring that feet won’t suffocate in the imposing shoes.
The tall TOR ULTRA HI 2 WP trail boots hit HOKA ONE ONE’s Japanese site and stockists like Kinetics on November 1 for ¥35,000 JPY (approximately $325 USD), with Western retailers expected to offer the model for closer to $230 USD.
