Japanese magazine GRIND has introduced its latest editorial, centering around key pieces from sacai Spring/Summer 2019, with a particular focus on the label’s collaborative Pendleton and Dr. Woo items. Powerhouse stylist Masataka Hattori elects to showcase complementary layers throughout, highlighting sacai’s trademark deconstructionist bent.

The opening look simultaneously demonstrates sacai’s design ethos and the progressive collaborations, draping a militaristic jacket emblazoned with Pendleton’s signature patterns on the rear over a striped shirt and matching pair of trousers. Elsewhere, Dr. Woo’s delicate illustrations accent a chunky mockneck sweater vest, worn above the matching T-shirt. Perhaps the most adventurous look showcases a deconstructed blazer/zippered coaches jacket hybrid above a paisley shirt, pleated plaid skirt and trim black trousers.

Select items from sacai’s SS19 range are currently available at the brand’s Tokyo outpost, with more to hit stockists like Farfetch in the near future.

Recently, we took a closer look at sacai & Nike‘s hybrid “Blazer With the Dunk” and “LVD With Waffle Daybreak.”
