EDM Producer Recreates "Sicko Mode" Using Only Sounds from Nintendo's 'Animal Crossing'
If K.K. Slider covered the track.
New England EDM producer, and alluded Animal Crossing fan, Overspace has just released a version of Travis Scott‘s 2018 banger “Sicko Mode” made entirely out of sounds from Nintendo‘s Animal Crossing game. Creating the track as if done by Animal Crossing’s K.K. Slider, the beat is surprisingly accurate, but gets slightly comical when it comes to the sounds used to mimic the voices of La Flame, Drake and Swae Lee.
The best part comes in at around the three-minute mark, when the Animalese is used to fill in Drake’s “ayy” and “yeah” ad libs. As humorous as the whole idea is of remaking one of last year’s biggest tracks, using only the whimsical noises of Animal Crossing, the track surprisingly hits hard. Check the video above for the full track, and don’t forget to check out other hip-hop Animal Crossing renditions, including Sheck Wes’ “Mo Bamba” turned into “K.K. BAMBA” by I am Jemboy III.
In other music news, Amine remixes Tierra Whack’s “Hungry Hippo” & Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s “Hunnybee.”
