Mads Mikkelsen, Vanessa Hudgens, and Richard Dreyfuss will star in Netflix‘s upcoming film Polar, which is based on the 2012 webcomic series of the same name by Victor Santos. The trailer showcases a ton of eccentric villains and over the top weapons that folks are comparing to John Wick, especially since the central character played by Mikkelsen is also a retired assassin.

Once known as the “Black Kaiser,” the footage showcases the former hired killer going back into “the life” once he realizes his young neighbor (Hudgens) has been kidnapped. Although the action looks whacky, the footage doesn’t look like a faithful adaptation of the source material, the story may follow along in the same lines.

Check out the video above and watch Polar when it premieres January 25.

In related Netflix news, the would-be design of the monsters in Bird Box has been revealed.
