California’ Goodfight is quietly establishing itself as a brand to watch, with its understated essentials cropping up in major retailers like Dover Street Market and SSENSE since the brand’s debut in January 2017. In the past two years, Goodfight has refined its aesthetic to a razor-like focus, with Fall/Winter 2019 epitomizing the brand’s laidback Californian cool.

Dubbed “Familiar Piety,” the range builds upon the strength of the previous cold weather collection, blending ethically-crafted textiles with relaxed silhouettes. Utilitarian aprons and knits transform into progressive layering pieces thanks to rich corduroy and loose-gauge knits, respectively. More subversive flair comes by way of playfully undercut workwear staples — crewneck sweaters are upgraded with fluffy yellow wool, camp collar shirts receive Peranakan food prints and barrel-legged trousers sport bold plaid patterns.

Shop current season items via Goodfight’s website and stockists like SSENSE, Roden Gray and Dover Street Market; stay tuned for more from the promising West Coast label. Take a closer look at select pieces and Goodfight’s signature silver jewelry below.
