Eytys Debuts First Full Ready-to-Wear Collection for FW19
With influences ranging from fishing to rave culture.
After making the move into apparel with a denim collection back in late 2017, Swedish label Eytys is now set to release its first full ready-to-wear range. Titled “Wet Dreams,” the debut collection takes inspiration from a number of sources, including fishing gear, rave culture and ‘90s hip-hip collective Boot Camp Clik.
Key themes in the collection include distorted proportions and refined workwear, in a color palette influenced by contemporary fishing gear with several grey and khaki tones offset with soft pastels, bright blue and an ocean plastic-inspired camouflage pattern. As well as the mainline collection, Fall/Winter 2019 will see Eytys collaborate with London-based designer Michiko Koshino. The stand-out pieces from this link-up are inflatable jackets and vests that reference both the river and rave influences of the collection.
Announcing the “Wet Dreams” collection, Eytys creative director Max Schiller added that “it’s great seeing all the Eytys design elements coming together for the first time in a complete collection of apparel, jeans and footwear. The versatility of the collection takes you from river to rave and the inflatable pieces from Michiko Koshino capsule keep you afloat along the way.”
The Fall/Winter 2019 collection from Eytys is due to release in August, and will be available and select retailers, as well as the Eytys web store and flagship locations.
