UNDERCOVER Unveils New Nike Waffle Racer & Dr. Martens Collab for SS19
A closer look at Paris Fashion Week.

UNDERCOVER parted ways with traditional runway shows for its Spring/Summer 2019 womenswear season, opting instead for a seven-part lookbook titled “THE SEVENTH SENSE,” which debuted during Paris Fashion Week in tandem with a showroom presentation.
Jun Takahashi‘s latest sartorial chapter references both Western and Japanese pop culture, with influences ranging from Japanese anime show Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel to David Bowie‘s Ziggy Stardust (via graphic sweaters emblazoned with Mick Rock’s iconic images of the late singer) and Stanley Kubrick‘s A Clockwork Orange (an all-white collection with bowler hats and a Dr. Martens boot).
Perhaps the most notable unveil at the Paris showroom is the new UNDERCOVER x Nike Waffle Racer collaboration, which features the heritage silhouette in three colorways of turquoise, red and navy. The model’s signature quilted nylon and suede upper maintains the classic look, while an extended heel clip with speckled accents add a dose of retrofuturism.
