A First Look at Nike's Upcoming Water-Resistant Odyssey React Shield Runner

Continuing its running focus, Nike recently revealed its next water-resistant React runner. Part of the sportswear brand’s Shield pack, the Odyssey React Shield was developed specifically for those who run in practically any weather.
Set to debut in an array of colorways, the shoe features a proprietary G.90 ripstop like water-resistant upper dressed with functional taped seams and heat-welded blocks of a speckled pattern and black. Ditching the conventional lacing system, a trail-inspired cord closure serves to securely lock the wearer’s foot. Rounding up the design of the shoe is a tonal React midsole complete with a ruggedly upgraded segmented rubber outsole.
No pricing details just yet, but look for the Nike Odyssey React Shield to officially release October 11.
