Dave East Enlists Chris Brown for "Perfect" Video

Earlier this year, NYC phenom Dave East dropped his new studio album Paranoia: A True Story. Possibly the LP’s most radio-friendly and club-ready records was a track titled “Perfect,” which found Dave East spitting his hard-hitting bars alongside vocals from Chris Brown. Today, the Harlem rapper revisits the album and the aforementioned track for his latest visual.
Eschewing the grittier feel and aesthetic of past music videos, Dave East goes down the traditional mainstream rap route for his new clip. With enticing models as its centerpiece, the “Perfect” vignette is a well-produced, cinematic offering that perfectly translates the song’s themes and narrative. “I’ve been all around the world and I’ve been looking for you — searching,” Chris Brown sings as he unleashes an impressive dance routine. “You deserve it because you’re perfect.”
