Though their worlds may be far apart, Mike Cherman of Chinatown Market has combined his own label’s DNA with that of Original Penguin to deliver a collaborative capsule collection. Seeking to push the perception of both his brand and Original Penguin, the collection “presents an entirely new idea to a consumer base that has never met [him] before.” Sitting with him in his design studio, the designer explains the workflow for his rapid-fire product drops which can go from idea to reality in just under two days and how he hopes to foster young talent and push the fashion industry forward.
