After months of waiting, the first trailer for Captain Marvel was shared by Marvel earlier this week. Having only been released for a short time, the first clip showcasing Brie Larson in action as the pivotal character was able to garner in 109 million views within its first 24 hours of release. Debuted on Tuesday morning during ABC’s Good Morning America, Larson also made an appearance on the talk show to personally deliver the highly-anticipated visuals.

The first Captain Marvel trailer was able to pull in 20 million more views than Black Panther within the same timeframe. However it falls short of Avengers: Infinity War‘s record of 230 million views within 24 hours.

Captain Marvel will mark Marvel Studio’s first female-led solo movie and will tell the story of how Carol Danvers became one of the planet’s most powerful superheroes. This origin film will also act as a lead up to Avengers 4 and will give fans a deeper look into how her role will help save the entire universe.
