Air Jordan 8 Makes a Comeback in a “South-Beach”-Inspired Makeover
Adding summer heat to Jordan Brand’s fall catalog.
Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan 8 has had a relatively quiet year, which outside of the black and gold OVO rework, spent much time on the sidelines playing second fiddle to its popular AJ1, AJ3 and AJ4 counterparts. Set to hit the scene next month is this “South Beach”-themed iteration, applying a bevy of warm summer-friendly hues onto a relatively clean base.
Both textured and perforated leather in simplistic white/grey dominates much of the upper, while bold splashes of teal, pink and orange found on the midsole, outsole and tongue add optimal color contrast. Standout features of the shoe include the branded ankle strap, the embossed “23” sitting on the crisscross vamp overlay, as well as the shaggy carpet-like Jumpman tongue logo. Priced at $190 USD, you can look for this new Air Jordan 8 in full family sizing on October 13 via Nike’s online shop.
