Kelela & KAYTRANADA Drop Infectious “Waitin'” Remix
Part of her upcoming ‘TAKE ME A_PART, THE REMIXES’ album.
To celebrate her debut album Take Me Apart‘s one-year anniversary, R&B singer Kelela is set to drop a remixed version of the project aptly titled, TAKE ME A_PART, THE REMIXES. Produced by her longtime collaborator Asma Maroof (aka Asmara of Nguzunguzu) and Kelela herself, the forthcoming album will feature remixes and reworks from the likes of Serpentwithfeet, Kareem Lotfy, LSDXOXO, DJ Lag, Joey LaBeija, Joey LaBeija, Tre Oh Fie, Nídia, Divoli S’vere, BADSISTA, GAIKA, HITMAKERCHINX, Skyshaker, Nathaniel W. James, Dave Quam, and Ahya Simone.
To kick start the lead up to the release, Kelela has just shared the first single off the project, her single “Waitin’” which has been given an extra dance-beat update from Montreal producer KAYTRANADA. Check out the single above. TAKE ME A_PART, THE REMIXES lands on October 5 and is available for pre-order over at Kelela’s official site.
