TIDAL's New CEO Richard Sanders Becomes Its Fourth in Just Two Years
Strategically hot on the heels of ‘4:44”s groundbreaking success.

JAY-Z‘s TIDAL streaming service has remained steeped in controversy over the last little while, including a bitter battle with Kanye West, a conflict with Prince’s estate regarding an unauthorized deal to parting ways with its last CEO earlier this spring. However, in a move aimed to close the competitive gap between rivals, Spotify and Apple Music, the music provider recently announced its new CEO in Richard Sanders. With a wealth of knowledge under his belt, Sanders joins TIDAL after having served as president of global marketing for Sony Music, while holding top-tier executive level positions with both RCA and Arista Records. Strategically coming at an opportune time, the move comes hot on the heels of the service’s recent win — stemming from the groundbreaking success of JAY-Zs 4:44 album.
