Prince’s Estate Is Suing Jay Z for Unauthorized Streaming on TIDAL
TIDAL has 99 problems and one of them is Prince.

[gallery columns="3"]Jay Z met with Prince’s family last month, where he placed a $40 million USD bid for the music icon’s massive archive of unreleased music. Apparently, that deal never went through, and now Jay Z is being sued by Prince’s family for illegally streaming his most popular songs, according to reports. In their defense, Jay Z’s team claims Prince signed an agreement with Roc Nation right before his death, but Prince’s attorneys claim Hov’s label is overstepping the boundaries. The agreement allegedly claims Prince gave TIDAL permission to stream his last album before he died, Hit N Run: Phase 1, but instead, TIDAL went ahead and published nearly his entire catalog on July 7. As it stands, Roc Nation is currently being sued for copyright infringement and Prince’s estate has since blocked TIDAL from steaming any of the music legend’s records.
