The First Trailer for the 'Fullmetal Alchemist' Live-Action Film Is Stunning
Breathing life into Hiromu Arakawa’s coveted franchise.
The first trailer for Fullmetal Alchemist has finally surfaced on the internet. The clip offers viewers a glimpse into the forthcoming live-action adaptation and it is packed with a handful of captivating sequences. Hiromu Arakawa‘s coveted franchise is brought to life with actor Ryosuke Yamada playing the titular protagonist, Edward Elric. There is no official word yet on who will voice Edward’s brother, Alphonse, but admirers can catch a sneak peek of the steel-armored alchemist in the short clip.
The film will presumably spotlight the Elric brothers after their mother tragically passes away. Using alchemy, the pair try their hardest to bring her back from the dead, but the endeavor fails, causing Edward to lose his arm and leg while Alphonse’s body is completely lost. The pair then seek out the powerful Philosopher’s Stone to gain back their body parts all the while overcoming government corruption, transmuted beasts as well as genocide.
