Known for his psychological horrors such as Pi, Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan, filmmaker Darren Aronofsky returns in full force with Mother!. The films Centers around a couple, played by Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem, who live in an isolated home. Soon their lives are interrupted by mysterious visitors and Lawrence’s character finds herself becoming obsessed with a tunnel — which seems to be bleeding. The film also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Harris, Domhnall Gleeson, and Kristen Wiig.
Mother! is set to release on September 15 after making its rounds at the Toronto Film Festival and Venice Film Festival.
