Filling Pieces Emphasizes Self-Discovery for FW18 "Off the Grid" Collection
“This collection stands for our boundary-less vision of our world.”
Earlier this summer, Filling Pieces unveiled its Pre-Fall 2018 collection, showcasing versatile silhouettes, innovative manufacturing techniques and technical fabrics. Continuing to move away from its footwear foundations, the Amsterdam brand debuts its official Fall/Winter 2018 lineup.
Dubbed the “Off the Grid” campaign, Filling Pieces’s latest lineup centers around the theme of “traveling the unknown roads.” Notably, the collection’s wares were designed to weather the elements and the various obstacles nature can throw your way.
“Individuals are awakening to their own journeys of self-discovery,” reads an official statement from the brand. “The idea that by facing your fears and taking the path less traveled, you break down the perceived barriers in your mind, and unlock your potential. This is what ‘Off The Grid’ means to us.”
“This collection stands for our boundary-less vision of our world, figuratively and literally. ‘OFF THE GRID’ means getting out of your own ways to getting to know the unacquainted. Like my parents with their immigrant background, as many like-minded,” adds Filling Pieces founder. Guillaume Philibert.
