After designing two different match balls for the 2018 World Cup — one in white and black and another with red detailing — adidas Football is back with the ball that will be used for this season’s Champions League. The ball continues to feature the signature Champions League star pattern, although this season will see it with a new twist.
The ball’s design has been inverted, with white used for the star pattern. These white stars are contrasted with a blue graphic print designed to represent the blur of constant motion. The ball itself is constructed using adidas’ newest technologies including an outer texture coating for secure grip and thermally bonded panels to create a seamless surface for improved first touch.
In other football news, Lionel Messi could be poised to retire from the international game.
