RL Grime Enlists Diplo, Miguel, Chief Keef, Ty Dolla $ign, joji & More for 'NOVA'
The super-producer’s first album in four years.

Following months of anticipation and promotional releases, RL Grime has unleashed his latest studio album, NOVA.
The follow-up to 2014’s VOID, RL Grime’s NOVA serves as its creator’s second studio LP and boasts collaborations with Chief Keef, Miguel, Julia Michaels, joji, Jeremih, Ty Dolla $ign and others. Diplo is listed as the project’s executive producer, having helped RL Grime fine-tune its sound and style. Notably, the project has been supported by past singles like “Light Me Up” and “Pressure.”
“I wanted to keep the power and purpose that I presented in VOID, but open up my process to new sounds, and collaborators, and lyrics,” RL Grime shares via press statement, breaking down today’s album and the processes that brought it to life. “I felt like I had more to say, and more opportunity to say it, but that sometimes is debilitating.”
“I made so many songs for this project, and through that was able to whittle away at what the identity and direction of NOVA would be,” RL Grime adds “I’m proud of what I achieved here. I introduced the roots of the project, the power and scale of VOID, to something bright and open and almost ethereal. If VOID sounds like it comes from deep under the surface of the ocean, then NOVA comes from somewhere far away in the universe, soaring through space.”
