Directly following Prince‘s untimely passing back in April, his renowned band The Revolution revealed plans for a 2016 reunion. Now, the legendary group have formally announced a brief 2016 reunion run. For two nights between September 2 and 3, The Revolution will take over Minneapolis’ First Avenue venue. As Pitchfork notes, the lineup for the 2016 reunion will feature Wendy Melvoin, Dr. Fink, Lisa Coleman, Bobby Z. and BrownMark, with “special guests” Dez Dickerson and André Cymone contributing as well. In their official press statement, the band shares:

“Only by playing for you, the fans, can we be Prince’s Revolution. He gives Us 2 oneanother now, as we all start to heal and fill forever emptiness with sound. 2gether, we are The Revolution.”
