G-Eazy Going Back to "Boom-Bap" & "Samples" for Next Project
He will also be on the remix to YG and Nipsey Hussle’s “FDT.”
In the midst of his current tour with YG, Logic and others, G-Eazy linked up with Bootleg Kev for an exclusive, extensive interview. Speaking to Kev for nearly 20 minutes, G-Eazy spoke on topics ranging from his current range of shows to working with Britney Spear and being on the yet-to-be-released official remix to YG and Nipsey Hussle’s poltically-charged “FDT” single. Most notably, G-Eazy revealed plans for his next project. Introducing the effort, G-Eazy spoke on a desire to go back to the basics. “I’ve got this project I just decided I was gonna do. It’s kind of back to what first started to put me on… I miss sampling. I’m already two songs in. All summer, I’m in the studio all day, I’m knocking out features and I’m working on this tape… It’s all like boom-bap drums… I miss making beats,” he said. You can check out the full exchange above.
