With the 2018 World Cup behind us and a new football season on the horizon, Nike has revealed a new technology that will make its debut with the PhantomVSN football boot pack. The boot was designed inside-out, with the first stage being an internal Quadfit construction that provides more support to the player wearing the boot.

Other features of the high-tech PhantomVSN include the Ghost Lace system — which creates an even striking surface on top of the foot — as well as a new traction pattern for quick changes of direction and new All Conditions Control (ACC) coating. The most notable design touch is the “medial triangle” which features on every colorway. The triangle roughly covers the surface between 3 of the foot’s most prominent bones and indicates the ideal place to control the ball.

The first colorway from the pack to release will be the “Black Op,” which will arrive via the Nike web store on July 18. Following PhantomVSN colorways include the “Raised on Concrete” which comes in grey and red and drops on July 30, and the third colorway is set to release on August 6.

In other football news, World Cup-winner Kylian Mbappé is set to donate his winnings to charity.
